Crazy 4 Math Receives International Recognition and Awards
Googol Power's Crazy 4 Math album has received a Parent's Choice Recommendation Award in the audio recording category.
The Parents' Choice Awards program honors the best material for children: books, toys, music and storytelling, magazines, software, video games, television and websites. Parents' Choice Foundation's panels of educators, scientists, performing artists, librarians, parents and, yes, kids themselves, identify the very best products for children of different ages and backgrounds, and of varied skill and interest levels.
This prominent award was followed by the album being selected in fall edition of Toy Tips Magazine. Toy Tips is an independent research and consulting firm. Using proven scientific and academic methods, they study and then report objective information and findings on toys that stimulate developmental growth for children.

The Crazy 4 Math Contest is once again receiving entries from all over the world, showing that mathematics, the universal language, is enjoyed by children everywhere. "Many of this year's entries combine math with social responsibility," says Susan Jarema, founder of Googol Learning. "It's wonderful to see families using math in all positive areas of their lives, including recycling, carbon counting, health, manners, tree planting and contributing to a food bank. We have even seen children who extended math to their neighborhoods and families, coming up with delightful examples of 'Mother's Day Math' and 'Friendship Math.'"

What started out as a contest among local children in a Vancouver suburb has quickly grown into an international network of children sharing math ideas and an exciting competition that boosts math skills. Then she took it online. "Since then it has taken on a life of its own," says Jarema, also known by children in her community as The Learning Lady. "I hadn't expected so much interest. Now I'm getting emails from families all over North America and even the world wanting to participate. It's wonderful to see such excitement about math!"
