My brothers and I used to punch each other whenever we saw double numbers on a license plate when we were driving. So instead my mom started yelling out numbers from the license plates to have us either add, multiply or subtract two or three numbers to practice our math facts. I like to multiply the first two numbers and add the third on to the product. (I just finished Grade Four).

My younger brother Troy adds up two or three numbers (he just finished Grade Two) and my other younger brother Tyler adds the doubles, partners for ten or smaller combinations (he just finished kindergarten)

The possibilities are endless! It's a great way to keep our math skills sharp while we are traveling and much easier on our arms!
