Math in Travel
Math has many applications.
I use math every single day, whether to tell the time, to play board games, cooking or to review sports scores.
If my family were going to Dreamworld for a holiday, would it be better to fly, sail or to drive? To figure this out, I must know how to compute distances and estimate the cost of each trip. If we plan to drive, I must read a map to find the best route and calculate petrol costs. If we decide to fly, I'll need math to figure out which airline has the cheapest tickets.
If we plan to sail, I must find out how fast they are going to go and how much will it cost.
