St. Patrick's Day Math

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Did you know that I am part Irish? So, of course this is always a special day in our house. My mother (who would make us green eggs and ham on March 17th) is ⅞ Irish. Can you figure out how much Irish blood my daughter has?

Get the answer!

Lucky Clovers & Probability

My daughter found here first four leaf clover this summer. Read the article A Very Lucky Day to find out more about four leaf clovers and probability. Don't forget to check out the current records for the most leaves and the largest collection! According to the Guinness World Records book (2002) American George J Kaminski has found over 72,000 four leaf clovers since 1995! He found all of them on the grounds of various Pennsylvania prisons.
